Ron Darling's role on that staff was as the thinking pitcher, the Yale-educated right-hander from Millbury, Massachusetts who had arrived in the organization as the first-round pick of the Texas Rangers in 1981 before being traded to New York and developing into one of the most reliable starters in the National League. In the 1986 World Series against the Boston Red Sox, Darling started Game 1 at Shea Stadium and pitched into the seventh inning, giving up no earned runs in a performance that ended in defeat only because of an unearned run that Boston converted into the game's only score. He went on to win Game 4. The series ended with one of the most celebrated walk-off moments in baseball history, and Darling's name is inseparable from that championship. This framed blue Mets jersey, authenticated by JSA, carries his signature. Condition: NOS.

⚾ Darling pitched for the Mets through 1991 and later worked for Oakland and Montreal before retiring, then began a second career in broadcasting that has made him one of the most analytically sophisticated and well-spoken color commentators in baseball. His work on SNY for Mets broadcasts and on TBS for playoff coverage has extended his connection to the game well beyond his playing days. The Mets' blue jersey – a color that defines the franchise's identity as distinctly as Shea Stadium's light towers once did – carries the visual language of everything Darling represents in the Mets' history. JSA confirmed the signature. Condition: NOS.

⭐ Ron Darling. New York Mets. Autographed Blue Baseball Jersey. Framed 35x39. JSA COA. 1986 World Series Champion.
