It's a separate, specially ticketed event held on select nights in November and December, from the evening until midnight, with holiday parades down Main Street, U.S.A., Christmas fireworks and treats handed out around the park. And this button is the party's own souvenir. Disney's page for the 2000 party promised complimentary cookies, cocoa and a souvenir button with the ticket, plus a free family photo. That year there were eight party nights, November 30 to December 15, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., at $31 for an adult in advance or $36 at the gate. One family's trip report from the 1997 party says they were handed their buttons as they came through the turnstiles.

📌 Christmas in the Middle of the Millennium

The 2000 party fell right in the middle of Walt Disney World's Millennium Celebration, which ran from October 1999 into the first days of 2001. That's the same celebration that kicked off official Disney pin trading in October 1999, with Pin Central at Epcot as the very first trading spot. It was only supposed to last as long as the Millennium did, but it caught on so fast that Disney kept it going, and people are still trading pins in the parks today. So by Christmas 2000, Disney pin trading was in its second holiday season, and a party button like this one fit right in.

🏡 Display

Pin it on your coat for the holidays, hang it on the tree, or add it to your Disney pin collection.
