A bold \u003cstrong\u003e2\u003c\/strong\u003e over a \u003cstrong\u003eWAY\u003c\/strong\u003e banner, with an orange arrow pointing one way and a green arrow pointing the other, on a striped silver face. Like every uncrimped crown, it measures 1 1\/4 inches across.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003e🍋 2‑Way and the NuGrape family\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2‑Way was a lemon-lime soda from the \u003cstrong\u003eNational NuGrape Company of Atlanta\u003c\/strong\u003e, a sister brand to NuGrape, Sun Crest orange and Kickapoo Joy Juice. NuGrape itself goes back to 1906 and was first bottled in 1921; the company set up in Atlanta by 1933 and built its headquarters there in 1937, a building that's on the National Register today. In 1968 the whole family of brands went to The Moxie Company, later Monarch Beverage. Like a lot of franchise flavors, 2‑Way was bottled by local plants under license, which is how a cap like this ends up in a Dr Pepper plant in the middle of Illinois.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e🌾 Hillsboro, Illinois\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHillsboro was founded in 1823 and is the county seat of Montgomery County, out in the farm country between Springfield and St. Louis, with Lake Glenn Shoals just north of town.
