Very Rare Vintage Tin Special Police Badge Hancock County Tennessee Sheriff's Department 1950s - 1960s ~
"Home of the Mulegeons" The mystique of the Mulegeons in the late 1950s and 1960s led the Hancock County Sheriff's Department to add this to their badge. Local restaurants sold Mulegeons burgers and everything that was ever associated with a Mulegeon was turned into a tourist attraction. This makes me think this was one of the later series of badges and could be the 1960s.
These are very well made out of beautiful tin litho front and thick plastic back and they look amazing!
Badge 1 1/2" ~ Card 4" x 2 1/4" ~
This is a very rare find made in the 1950s as part of the Japanese rebuilding project General Macarthur ran.
My mother and I bought the remaining supply of these 15 years ago or so and can't believe I found these in a box unsold still. My mom still amazes me two years after her passing as she must have found more or hid these away because I remember us selling out of so many of these in 2007.
Be careful as I have seen a lot of listing using this card with a random badge attached that isn't the correct badge type this company made. It's very obvious also as the badges they affix to the card are so much bigger than the card and cover the words and pictures which no company would ever do.
The Vintage Tin Litho Special Police Badge Hancock County Sheriff's Dept. 1950s - 1960s is a sensational customer favorite, and we hope you like it just as much.
