Thank you Myles and Charlee ! Quality control par excellence! And Dad Travis is doing a good job too. I am very happy with my fabulous, colorful fruit crate label. It got here all the way from good old USA and in perfect condition too. Keep up the the great work ! Many thanks and all the best, Robert.

One of the most famous cigar smokers and writers ever! Even though he had lived in New York for decades before he earned his nickname "Duke of Paducah," a title that harkens back to his Kentucky roots. Besides a cigar label, this guy had a Warship named after him in WWII, and the Illinois Central Railroad named a passenger train after him that went through his hometown after the war. Neat history of this American icon here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irvin_S._Cobb
Imagine hanging this over 100-year-old antique advertising on your wall as home decor in any room!
Cigar labels show you what vintage advertising is all about. They feature the wonderful graphics that Lithography provides that modern printing can't reproduce. Unfortunately, this art was a lost art after the 1920s, largely due to the rise of more cost-effective and efficient printing methods.
My pictures seriously don't do it justice. These had to be done on heavy paper stock, which kept them vibrant and new-looking for a long time.
Most of these artists were very good but desperate for work during that era. They got paid very little and received no recognition for their work. Unfortunately, the majority of these artists will remain unknown, but we can keep their art alive forever.
