The G. Heileman Brewing Company of La Crosse, Wisconsin was a well-known American brewery dating back to 1858. In the 1980s, it ranked as the 4th largest brewery in the United States. Some of its popular brands included Colt 45, Old Style, Beck's, Blatz, Rainier, and others.
G. Heileman Brewing Company was proudly associated with the Chicago Cubs and even held the title for producing the largest 6-pack of beer in the world.
However, in 1985, legal troubles related to the Sherman Antitrust Act led to limitations on the company's expansion and ultimately resulted in the Heileman family being pushed out.
