The label features a striking image of a snake wrapped around poppy flowers and is adorned with gold accents, making it a beautiful addition to any collection. In pristine condition, this label comes with a fascinating history - it was created by Raffaele De Angelis, an Italian immigrant who invented Citrate of Magnesia and moved to Providence in 1904. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of history with this antique vintage whiskey-flavored pharmacy label.

This is a unique pharmacy label for favoring to make things taste like whiskey. Prohibition was such an odd time. Raffaele De Angelis invented Citrate of Magnesia. He was born in Italy and moved to Providence in 1904. Because of the success of his product, he soon built his pharmacy on 131 Knight Street. He was a very charitable person and would often let his customers "pay him later". Everyone, out of respect, referred to him as "Don" and the misspelling of whiskey can probably be attributed to his Italian heritage. With the amount of success he had, he never needed to change it.
