The Philadelphia Eagles green. The jersey of one of the most beloved franchises in the NFC East, the team that on February 4, 2018 climbed to the top of professional football for the first time in franchise history on the backs of players who had been told they needed to prove themselves — and proved themselves spectacularly. Signed by Jason Peters — the offensive tackle from Queen City, Texas who was not drafted, who entered the NFL as a tight end and was converted to the position that made him legendary, who played at the highest level at one of the most demanding positions in football for more than a decade, and who in 2017 helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl. 🌟 Queen City, Texas — Cass County — East Texas — The Long Road to the Top

Jason Peters was born January 22, 1982, in Queen City, Texas — a small community in Cass County in the Ark-La-Tex region of East Texas, where three states meet and the culture of the Deep South blends with the independent spirit of Texas. Cass County is timber country, not football factory country — it is not producing first-round draft picks on a regular basis, not sending waves of recruits to the major football programs of the SEC or Big 12. Peters came from there, earned a scholarship to the University of Arkansas, and was not drafted when the 2004 NFL Draft concluded. The Buffalo Bills signed him as an undrafted free agent. They brought him in as a tight end.

🏆 Undrafted Tight End to Elite Left Tackle — The Greatest Conversion Story in NFL History

The Bills moved Jason Peters to offensive tackle — specifically left tackle, the most important position on the offensive line, the blindside protector, the guardian of the quarterback's right to operate without fear. Peters took to the position with a natural athleticism, a combination of size and footwork and hand strength, that made evaluators immediately recognize they had found something extraordinary. He played with the Bills through 2008, establishing himself as one of the best left tackles in the league. The Philadelphia Eagles signed him in 2009 to a contract that made him one of the highest-paid offensive linemen in the game. The investment was justified every single season. He went to 9 Pro Bowls. He was named First-Team All-Pro 7 times. He protected Eagles quarterbacks for more than a decade. He was the cornerstone of the offensive line that in 2017 helped the Eagles to the franchise's first Super Bowl championship.

2017 Super Bowl LII Champion — Eagles vs. Patriots — The Philly Special

Super Bowl LII, February 4, 2018, U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Philadelphia Eagles vs. the New England Patriots. The Eagles won 41-33. Nick Foles won the Super Bowl MVP. The Philly Special — the 4th-and-goal trick play with Foles catching a touchdown pass from tight end Trey Burton — became one of the most celebrated plays in Super Bowl history. Jason Peters, who had torn his ACL early in the 2017 season and fought back to play in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl, was part of that team. The Eagles green jersey he signed represents the franchise's finest hour. Beckett BAS authenticated. Unframed. Your frame. Your wall. Your way.
