🏀 Vintage Patrick Ewing Autographed New York Knicks Blue Basketball Jersey Beckett BAS COA – The Beckett Authentication Services BAS COA Certified Hand-Signed New York Knicks Blue Basketball Jersey of Patrick Ewing, Eleven-Time NBA All-Star, Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist, Hall of Famer, and the Greatest Center in the History of the New York Knicks

🏀 Madison Square Garden. The World's Most Famous Arena. The house where Patrick Ewing spent 15 seasons as the most dominant center the Knicks had ever built a franchise around, where packed houses in the orange and blue watched him battle night after night with the best centers in the history of the NBA, where the city of New York invested its basketball identity in a big man from Jamaica who became as New York as anything the city has ever claimed. This hand-signed New York Knicks blue basketball jersey, certified authentic by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) with a Certificate of Authenticity, carries the signature of the man who defined what a New York Knick was supposed to be for a generation of basketball fans who grew up watching him anchor the post.

🏀 Patrick Aloysius Ewing was born on August 5, 1962, in Kingston, Jamaica – the capital city of an island nation where cricket is the dominant sport and basketball is not the natural first language of athletic ambition. His family emigrated to Cambridge, Massachusetts, when he was 11 years old, and it was in the Cambridge school system that he was introduced to basketball, a sport he learned with the dedicated intensity of someone who recognizes a gift and commits to developing it fully. He came to Georgetown University under coach John Thompson, and in four years he transformed the Hoyas into one of the most feared programs in college basketball, reaching the national championship game three times and winning it in 1984 – the year he also won an Olympic gold medal with the United States in Los Angeles.

🏀 The New York Knicks selected Patrick Ewing with the first overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft – a lottery the Knicks won with the ping pong balls in the most consequential NBA Draft lottery outcome the league had ever produced. What followed was 15 seasons of the most competitive big-man basketball New York had seen since the championship years of the early 1970s: 11 NBA All-Star selections, the 1985–86 NBA Rookie of the Year award, a spot on the NBA's 50 Greatest Players list in 1996, and a 1992 Olympic gold medal with the Dream Team – one of the greatest collections of basketball talent ever assembled on a single roster. He never won an NBA championship, a fact that does not diminish what he was as a player but instead adds to the complicated, deeply felt way that New York Knicks fans hold his memory – one of the greatest players in the history of the position, one of the most beloved athletes in the history of New York sports. Beckett BAS is one of the most trusted authentication companies in the memorabilia industry. Condition: NOS.
