Vladimir "Vlad" Guerrero Sr. Signed Rawlings Official Major League Baseball ROML JSA COA — Nizao, Baní, Dominican Republic — Montreal Expos — Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim — 2004 AL MVP — .318 Career Batting Average — 449 Career Home Runs — Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2018 — Father of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. — JSA Certified Autograph

⚾ A Vladimir Guerrero Sr. signed Rawlings Official Major League Baseball (ROML) with JSA (James Spence Authentication) Certificate of Authenticity. Vladimir Guerrero Sr. — one of the most gifted and feared right-handed hitters in baseball history, the player who generated power on pitches so far outside the strike zone that they defied conventional understanding of what a hitter could do with his body, the 2004 AL MVP, the nine-time All-Star, and the Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2018 inductee — signed this Rawlings ROML. JSA-certified genuine. Condition: NOS.

🌟 Nizao, Baní, Dominican Republic — The Origin of the Guerrero Swing

Vladimir Álvino Guerrero was born February 9, 1975, in Nizao, a municipality in the Peravia Province of the Dominican Republic — one of the most productive baseball regions in the entire sport's geography. The Dominican Republic has contributed generational hitters, pitchers, and position players to the Major Leagues at a rate that no comparably sized nation has matched, and the Peravia Province community of Nizao produced one of the most naturally gifted hitters of the modern era. Guerrero signed with the Montreal Expos as an international amateur free agent and began developing the approach — if "approach" is even the right word for a philosophy built on swinging at nearly anything his body could generate power on — that would make him one of the most terrifying presences in any opposing lineup. The Rawlings ROML baseball he signed and that JSA certified carries the autograph of the Nizao, Dominican Republic kid who became a Hall of Famer on both sides of the border. Condition: NOS.

Montreal Expos — Stade Olympique — The Franchise Player in a Franchise Without a Future

Vladimir Guerrero Sr. spent the first eight seasons of his Major League career with the Montreal Expos — a franchise that was simultaneously producing one of the best players in baseball and contracting into eventual relocation. Guerrero was the Expos' franchise cornerstone from his debut in 1996 through the 2003 season, winning five consecutive Silver Slugger Awards in an Expos uniform and building the Hall of Fame statistical foundation of his career in the ballpark that Montreal's Olympic legacy produced. The tragedy of Guerrero's Expos career is that the franchise was never competitive enough around him to give him a playoff stage during his Montreal years — a star of his magnitude playing for a franchise in financial and competitive decline. The signed ROML baseball is the artifact of the hitter who deserved more support than Montreal could provide. Condition: NOS.

Los Angeles Angels — 2004 AL MVP — The Anaheim Chapter

Vladimir Guerrero signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as a free agent before the 2004 season and immediately delivered his best professional season in a new chapter of his career. The 2004 season produced a .337 batting average, 39 home runs, 126 RBI, and the AL MVP Award — and the Angels won the AL West that year, giving Guerrero the playoff stage his Montreal career never provided. He remained in Anaheim through 2009, adding to the Hall of Fame statistical portfolio and continuing to generate the most memorable at-bats of his generation — swinging at pitches that landed a foot outside the strike zone and driving them into the outfield gaps with the power and bat-to-ball skill that no other right-handed hitter in the sport could replicate. The ROML baseball signed by Guerrero and certified by JSA is the autographed document of the Nizao, Dominican kid who made history in Montreal and in Anaheim. Condition: NOS.
