🏀 Framed Autographed Alonzo Mourning Miami Heat Black Basketball Jersey JSA COA — Chesapeake Virginia, The Comeback From Kidney Disease, Kidney Transplant December 2003, 2006 NBA Champion Miami Heat Over Dallas Mavericks, Dwyane Wade Shaquille O'Neal, Basketball Hall of Fame 2014 — Framed 35x39 Wall Ready Hang It Today

The Miami Heat black. The alternate jersey of the franchise that became an NBA champion in 2006 — signed by the player whose path to that championship was one of the most remarkable comeback stories in professional sports history. Alonzo Mourning. The center who was told his basketball career was over by kidney disease. The player who received a kidney transplant and came back to win the championship he had spent his career building toward. Authenticated by JSA. Framed at 35x39. Wall-ready to hang today.

🌟 The Diagnosis — Kidney Disease — Nearly Everything Taken Away

In 2000, Alonzo Mourning was diagnosed with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis — a kidney disease that affects the kidney's ability to filter waste from the blood and that, left untreated or if progressive, leads to kidney failure. The diagnosis came when Mourning was 30 years old — in the prime of a career that had already produced two Defensive Player of the Year awards, multiple All-Star appearances, and a reputation as the most physically intimidating center in the Eastern Conference. He played through it for two years, then the condition worsened to the point where he needed to stop playing entirely. In December 2003, Mourning received a kidney transplant donated by his cousin Jason Cooper — a medical procedure that saved his life and opened the possibility of returning to the sport he had given everything to.

🏆 The Comeback — 2006 NBA Champion — Dwyane Wade — Shaquille O'Neal

Alonzo Mourning returned to the NBA after his transplant and, in 2005-06, found himself on one of the most talented rosters in the league: the Miami Heat of Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal, a team built to win a championship. The Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks 4-2 in the 2006 NBA Finals — with Dwyane Wade winning Finals MVP after one of the most dominant individual performances in Finals history — and Mourning, seven years after his Defensive Player of the Year peak, was a champion. He had come back from a kidney transplant. He had come back from the end of a career. He had come back and won the one thing professional athletes devote their lives to. The black Miami Heat jersey signed by Mourning represents the completion of a career that refused to be stopped.

Basketball Hall of Fame 2014 — Organ Donation Advocate — A Legacy Beyond the Game

Alonzo Mourning was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014. After his career ended, he became one of the most prominent advocates for kidney disease awareness and organ donation in the country — using his public platform to educate people about the importance of donor registration and to reduce the stigma around kidney disease. His story, from the diagnosis to the transplant to the championship, became one of the sport's most inspiring narratives. The black Heat jersey — framed at 35x39, authenticated by JSA — represents the culmination of that story: the champion, the survivor, the Hall of Famer. Hang it today.
