A hand-signed Jack Clark San Francisco Giants grey baseball jersey displayed in a framed 35x39 presentation and authenticated by JSA (James Spence Authentication) — signed by the Covina, California power hitter known as 'The Ripper,' who was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of the 1973 MLB Draft (13th overall) at 17 years old and spent a decade in San Francisco becoming one of the most feared right-handed power bats in the National League before moving to St. Louis, New York, San Diego, and Boston in the latter stages of a career defined by his ability to drive the baseball with authority into the left-center field gap and over the outfield wall. The JSA Certificate of Authenticity accompanying this jersey provides a verified, trackable record of the autograph through JSA's authentication process. The grey Giants road jersey — the classic San Francisco road uniform from the era when Clark patrolled Candlestick Park — carries the signature of one of the most complete power hitters the franchise produced in the Candlestick era. 🌟 Covina, California — San Gabriel Valley — The San Francisco Giants — The Decade at Candlestick Park

Jack Clark was born November 10, 1955, in Covina, California — a city in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, in the suburban East LA corridor between Pomona and the western edge of the San Gabriel Mountains. He attended Gladstone High School in Azusa, California, where his physical tools as a right-handed power hitter with a strong arm attracted professional attention. The San Francisco Giants selected him 13th overall in the 1973 MLB Draft, and after developing in the minor league system, Clark made his major league debut with the Giants in 1975. For ten seasons — from 1975 to 1984 — he wore the Giants grey and white at Candlestick Park, playing through the park's notorious winds and cold summer fog, building a career batting line that reflected both his offensive capability and the particular challenge of playing in one of the most pitcher-friendly environments in baseball. The Jack the Ripper nickname followed him from the batting cage to the lineup card and eventually into the baseball language around power-hitting right-handed batters in the National League. 🏆 The 1987 NLCS — Game 6 — Tom Niedenfuer — The Home Run That Sent the Cardinals to the World Series

After leaving San Francisco following the 1984 season, Jack Clark joined the St. Louis Cardinals and became a central piece of Whitey Herzog's Redbirds. The most famous moment of Clark's career came in Game 6 of the 1985 National League Championship Series — with the Cardinals down 5-4 in the ninth inning, two outs, and the bases loaded, Clark faced Los Angeles Dodgers closer Tom Niedenfuer. Herzog's decision to put the base open and pitch to Clark directly — rather than walking him intentionally — was immediately debated after Clark hit a 3-run home run into the left field bleachers to give St. Louis a 7-5 lead. The Cardinals held on to win the game and the series, advancing to the 1985 World Series. The moment became one of the most referenced 'should he have been walked' decisions in baseball history, and it cemented Clark's legacy as one of the most dangerous hitters of his era in the clutch. The grey Giants jersey carries the signature of the player who produced that moment. JSA certified. Condition: NOS.
