Description

🏀 Framed 35x39 Autographed/Signed Jim Boeheim Syracuse Orange Coach College Basketball Jersey — JSA COA — Lyons, New York — Syracuse University — 2003 NCAA Champion — Basketball Hall of Fame 2005 — 47 Seasons as Syracuse Head Coach — The 2-3 Zone — James Spence Authentication Certificate of Authenticity — Framed 35x39

🏀 Jim Boeheim signed this Syracuse Orange coach's college basketball jersey himself — a direct, in-person autograph from the man who arrived at Manley Field House in 1976 as the head coach of the Syracuse Orangemen and who was still on the sideline at the JMA Wireless Dome when he retired from the position in 2023, having spent 47 consecutive seasons as the head basketball coach at a single university — a tenure that produced more than a thousand wins, an NCAA Championship, multiple Final Four appearances, and the Basketball Hall of Fame induction that arrived in 2005 to confirm what the college basketball world already knew. Authenticated and certified by James Spence Authentication (JSA) and presented in a frame measuring 35 by 39 inches, this signed Syracuse Orange jersey is the collectible of the coach who made the Carrier Dome one of the most feared home arenas in the country. Condition: NOS.

🌟 Lyons, New York — The Player Who Became the Coach Who Became the Institution

🌟 Jim Boeheim was born on November 17, 1944, in Lyons, New York — a small Finger Lakes town where he developed the basketball foundation that would carry him to Syracuse University, where he played under coach Fred Lewis, and where he began his coaching career as a graduate assistant before becoming an assistant coach under Roy Danforth. When Danforth left to take the Tulane job in 1976, Boeheim was promoted to head coach at the age of 31 — beginning a tenure that would outlast every other coach in the major-conference college basketball landscape and that would be defined by the 2-3 zone defense that he installed as the signature defensive system of the program. Condition: NOS.

🏆 2003 NCAA Championship — Carmelo and the Final Four Title

🏆 The 2002-03 Syracuse Orangemen defeated the Kansas Jayhawks 81-78 in the NCAA Championship game in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 7, 2003 — giving Jim Boeheim his first and only national championship after more than twenty-five years as the program's head coach. Carmelo Anthony — the freshman forward who would be drafted first overall by the Denver Nuggets two months later — scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the championship game to earn Most Outstanding Player honors. For Boeheim, the title was the capstone of a career that had reached every level short of the national championship before March 2003, and it remains the defining moment of his 47 seasons at the helm. Condition: NOS.

The 2-3 Zone — The Defense That Bears His Name

⭐ Jim Boeheim's 2-3 zone defense is the most widely discussed and studied zone defensive scheme in the history of college basketball — a system whose strengths and vulnerabilities coaches and analysts have examined from every angle across the decades that Syracuse has deployed it as the primary defensive identity of the program. The 2-3 zone protects the paint, contests the perimeter with length, and forces opponents to execute efficiently from the arc — and in Boeheim's hands, it became a recruiting tool as well as a defensive system, drawing players who wanted to play in his scheme to the program for 47 years. Signed Syracuse Orange coach's jersey, framed 35x39, JSA COA. Condition: NOS.
