🏒 Framed Autographed/Signed Ken Morrow 35x39 New York Islanders Blue Hockey Jersey JSA COA — The Hand-Signed New York Islanders Blue Hockey Jersey, Custom-Framed at 35x39 Inches and Authenticated by James Spence Authentication, of the Flint, Michigan Native Who Went From the 1980 Miracle on Ice Olympic Gold Medal Directly to the New York Islanders and Won Four Consecutive Stanley Cup Championships — 1980, 1981, 1982, and 1983 — an Unmatched Championship Run That Defines the Most Decorated Career in That Era of Hockey

✨ The framed autographed Ken Morrow New York Islanders blue hockey jersey presents in 35x39 custom framing a signed piece whose owner lived one of the most remarkable championship stories in the history of North American sport. From the ice of the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics, where Morrow and the United States national team produced what has been called the greatest upset in sports history, directly to Long Island and the New York Islanders, where he won four consecutive Stanley Cup championships — the 1980 championship arriving so quickly after the Olympic gold medal that the two celebrations overlapped in the same calendar year. James Spence Authentication certified the autograph with JSA COA documentation, and the 35x39 custom frame presents the signed Islanders blue jersey in the display format that the piece demands. This is not simply a signed hockey jersey. This is the signature of the only player who ever won Olympic gold and immediately joined an NHL team that proceeded to win four straight Stanley Cups.

🏒 Ken Morrow was born October 17, 1956, in Flint, Michigan — the industrial mid-Michigan city on the Flint River that has produced more than its share of athletes across generations and that gave Morrow the hockey-playing foundation that Lake Superior State University would develop into the professional prospect the Islanders identified. Morrow attended Lake Superior State — a small university in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, on the north shore of Lake Superior at the Canadian border — and played for the Laker hockey program, developing the defensive style and the physical presence that made him an attractive NHL prospect while simultaneously building toward the 1980 US Olympic team tryouts that would change everything.

🏒 The 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team, the "Miracle on Ice" squad assembled by coach Herb Brooks, is the most celebrated hockey team in American history. The context of what happened at Lake Placid in February 1980 requires the historical backdrop to understand fully: the Soviet Union had dominated Olympic and international hockey for years, their professional national team representing a machine of athletic and tactical excellence that had beaten experienced opposition from every country that had challenged them. The American team that Herb Brooks assembled was young — college players, amateur players, players with something to prove against a Soviet program that operated at an entirely different level of experience and preparation. The 4-3 victory over the Soviet Union on February 22, 1980, at the Lake Placid Olympic Center is the sporting upset that the entire history of American athletic competition returns to when it needs a reference point for the impossible becoming real. Morrow was on that ice. He won the gold medal game against Finland two days later. He was an Olympic gold medalist at age 23.

🏒 The New York Islanders had already selected Morrow in the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft and had been following his development at Lake Superior State. Within weeks of the Olympic gold medal — while the celebration was still fresh — Morrow joined the Islanders for the remainder of the 1979-1980 NHL season. The Islanders won the Stanley Cup that spring. The sequence: Olympic gold, Stanley Cup championship, all within the same year. The Islanders dynasty was just beginning, and Morrow was now part of it. The 1981 Stanley Cup followed. Then 1982. Then 1983. Four consecutive championships with the New York Islanders. The defenseman from Flint, Michigan, who went from a small university in Sault Sainte Marie to the Olympic gold medal to the most decorated championship run of his NHL era, had done something no other player in the history of the game had ever done: win Olympic gold and then four consecutive Stanley Cups. The blue Islanders jersey he signed represents every championship that Islanders blue stands for. Condition: NOS.
