Description

🏀 Vintage Framed Autographed Rick Mahorn Detroit Pistons White Basketball Jersey JSA COA – The JSA Certified Hand-Signed Framed Detroit Pistons White Home Jersey of Rick Mahorn, 1989 NBA Champion and Founding Enforcer of the Detroit Pistons “Bad Boys” – the Most Feared Defensive Team of the Late 1980s

🏀 The Detroit Pistons “Bad Boys” did not win by accident. They won because Chuck Daly built a team around physicality, defensive intensity, and a collective willingness to make every game harder than it needed to be for whoever they were playing. They had rules – the Jordan Rules, the Magic Rules – defensive schemes designed to make the best players in the world uncomfortable at exactly the moments those players were most dangerous. And sitting in the middle of that construction, at power forward and center, was Rick Mahorn – the original enforcer, the physical presence who set the tone for what the Pistons were going to be every night. This framed hand-signed Detroit Pistons white home jersey, certified authentic by James Spence Authentication (JSA) with a Certificate of Authenticity, carries the signature of the man who helped define that era of Pistons basketball.

🏀 Rick Allen Mahorn was born on September 21, 1958, in Hartford, Connecticut, and played his college basketball at Hampton University in Virginia before the Washington Bullets selected him in the second round of the 1980 NBA Draft. He played in Washington for five seasons, developing the physical game that would define his career, before being traded to the Detroit Pistons in 1985. The Pistons were assembling what would become one of the most physically intimidating teams in NBA history – Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman, Vinnie Johnson, and Mahorn – and the combination of personalities and skills created a team that opposing coaches spent their offseasons trying to figure out how to slow down. The 1989 championship run, which produced the first of the Pistons' back-to-back titles, was built on the defensive identity that Mahorn helped establish. 🏆

🏀 The Detroit Pistons white home jersey – the classic home uniform from the era of the Bad Boys – framed at 35x39 and bearing Mahorn's authentic signature with JSA certification, represents one of the most celebrated chapters in NBA franchise history. James Spence Authentication is one of the most respected third-party authenticators in the memorabilia industry. Condition: NOS.
