🦅 Framed Autographed Vince Papale Philadelphia Eagles White Football Jersey JSA COA — Glenolden Pennsylvania Delaware County, The Real Invincible, 30-Year-Old Open Tryout Rookie 1976, Dick Vermeil, No College Football, The Greatest Underdog Story in NFL History, Inspiration of the 2006 Disney Film Invincible — Framed 35x39 Wall Ready Hang It Today

The Philadelphia Eagles white. The away jersey of the franchise — worn by a man whose story is the most improbable in the history of professional football, the kind of story that gets made into a Disney movie because reality would be impossible to invent. Vince Papale. The 30-year-old substitute teacher and bartender from Delaware County who showed up at an Eagles open tryout in 1976 and made the NFL roster. Signed by Papale. Authenticated by JSA. Framed at 35x39. Wall-ready to hang today.

🌟 Vince Papale — Glenolden, Pennsylvania; Delaware County; The Working Class Hero

Vince Papale was born February 9, 1946, in Glenolden, Pennsylvania — a small borough in Delaware County, the suburban ring just south of Philadelphia, the kind of working-class community where the Eagles are not just a team but a religion, where blue-collar pride and Philadelphia grit define the culture. Papale attended Saint Joseph's University on a track scholarship — the school did not field a football team — where he was team captain and set school records in the triple jump and pole vault that stood for decades. He never played a down of organized football before turning pro, later playing semi-pro football for the Philadelphia Bell of the WFL. When Philadelphia Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil arrived in 1976 with a new coaching staff and a determination to rebuild the franchise, he held an open tryout — and Vince Papale, at 30 years old, working as a substitute teacher and bartender, showed up.

🏆 The Open Tryout — 1976 — Dick Vermeil — The Eagles Roster

What happened next is the stuff of sports legend. Papale ran the routes, caught the passes, and showed the athleticism and toughness that Vermeil saw as exactly what he needed on special teams. He made the team — becoming, at 30 years old, the oldest rookie non-kicker in NFL history to make a roster without any college football experience. Working odd jobs in the Philadelphia suburbs one month, a member of the Philadelphia Eagles the next. He played three seasons for the Eagles (1976-1978), contributing on special teams with a tenacity and effort that made him one of the most beloved players in the locker room. The Eagles white jersey. His jersey. Signed and framed at 35x39.

Invincible 2006 — Mark Wahlberg — Philadelphia Spirit on Film

In 2006, Disney released Invincible — the film based on Vince Papale's story, starring Mark Wahlberg as Papale and Greg Kinnear as Dick Vermeil. The film captured the working-class Philadelphia spirit, the underdog story, and the raw emotion of a man who refused to let age or circumstance define the limits of what he could accomplish. It became one of the definitive underdog sports films of the era, and Papale's signature on the Eagles white jersey is the authentic signature of the man who inspired it. JSA authenticated. Framed at 35x39. Wall-ready to hang today.
