Description

🏀 Wilt Chamberlain 1974 Topps #250 Basketball Card PSA 6 EX-MT — Born August 21 1936 Philadelphia Pennsylvania — University of Kansas — The 100-Point Game — 4x NBA MVP — 2x NBA Champion — 13x NBA All-Star — The 1973-74 Topps Card Documenting the Career of the Most Statistically Dominant Player the Sport Has Ever Seen, Graded PSA 6 EX-MT

🏀 A PSA 6 EX-MT graded 1973-74 Topps #250 basketball card of Wilt Chamberlain — issued by Topps at the close of Chamberlain's playing career, one of the few cards in the release to feature a full-action photograph rather than the single-color background treatment applied to most of the set. PSA 6 EX-MT represents a well-preserved example of a vintage basketball card more than five decades old, with the card's age and the era's card stock and printing quality making high grades on 1970s Topps basketball scarce. Condition: NOS.

🌟 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — The University of Kansas — A Physical Specimen the Sport Had Never Seen

Wilton Norman Chamberlain was born August 21, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and became one of the most physically dominant athletes to ever play organized basketball. At 7 feet 1 inch tall with historic strength, speed, and stamina for a man his size, Chamberlain starred at the University of Kansas before turning professional, first with the Harlem Globetrotters and then in the NBA with the Philadelphia and San Francisco Warriors, the Philadelphia 76ers, and finally the Los Angeles Lakers. On March 2, 1962, playing for the Philadelphia Warriors against the New York Knicks, Chamberlain scored 100 points in a single game — a record that stands unbroken more than six decades later and remains one of the most famous individual statistical achievements in the history of American professional sports. Condition: NOS.

🏆 4x MVP — 2x NBA Champion — 13x All-Star — The Career Averages That Have Never Been Approached

Wilt Chamberlain won four NBA Most Valuable Player awards and two NBA championships — with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1967 and the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972 — and earned 13 NBA All-Star selections across a career that closed after the 1972-73 season with the Lakers. His career averages of 30.1 points and 22.9 rebounds per game remain among the most statistically dominant in the history of the sport, and several of his single-season and single-game records, including the 100-point game and a 55-rebound game against Bill Russell's Celtics, have never been approached by a subsequent generation of players. The 1973-74 Topps #250 card was issued the season after Chamberlain's retirement, a tribute-style release documenting the closing chapter of one of basketball's most singular careers. Condition: NOS.
