🏀 Autographed/Signed Dan Issel Kentucky Blue College Basketball Jersey JSA COA — The Authenticated Signature of "The Horse," a Hall of Fame Center Who Dominated in Both the ABA and NBA and Who Built His Legend at Kentucky Under Adolph Rupp

🏀 Dan Issel was "The Horse" — a nickname that captured the combination of power, endurance, and effectiveness under the basket that defined his playing style across two professional leagues and seventeen professional seasons. He played at the University of Kentucky under Adolph Rupp — the most decorated coach in the program's history, the architect of four national championships and decades of Southeastern Conference dominance — and developed into the kind of frontcourt player whose combination of scoring touch, rebounding instincts, and physical interior presence made him one of the most productive college players of his era before he ever played a professional game.

🏀 He was drafted by the Kentucky Colonels of the American Basketball Association in 1970 — a league that competed directly with the NBA for talent and produced some of the most creative and entertaining basketball played in the 1970s. With the Colonels, Issel won two ABA Championships and was named to six All-ABA teams during his time in the league. He scored 12,823 points in the ABA — more than any player in the league's history. When the ABA merged with the NBA in 1976, Issel made the transition with the Denver Nuggets and continued his production across nine more NBA seasons, finishing his career with 27,482 combined professional points — a total that places him among the most prolific scorers in professional basketball's combined history.

🏀 He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame — the recognition that his combined body of work in both leagues, sustained across seventeen seasons of professional basketball, demanded and received from the voters who evaluate the sport's greatest contributors across the full scope of their careers.

🏀 The Kentucky Blue College Jersey

🏀 The University of Kentucky blue basketball jersey — the blue of the Wildcats program, the color that the most passionate basketball fanbase in the Southeastern Conference has worn since Rupp first built the program into a national power — is the uniform that Issel wore when he was developing into the player that two professional leagues competed to draft. His signature on this blue Kentucky jersey connects the Hall of Fame professional career back to the college years where it began, authenticated and ready for permanent display.

Returns & Exchange

Take your time — you've got a full six months. If a piece isn't right for you, send it back the way it reached you and we're good.

In the first 30 days your money goes straight back the way you paid. After that it's store credit, so you can put it toward something you'd rather have.

Return shipping we sort out between us, case by case. I don't make this difficult.

If something arrives damaged, or it isn't what I said it was, send me a photo within 48 hours and I'll make it right.

Email [email protected] or call 802-356-9872 — that's me answering, not a call center.

The only things I can't take back are custom or special-order pieces and gift cards.
