Description

🥊 Autographed/Signed Mike Tyson Black Everlast Boxing Glove Athlete Hologram COA – The Hand-Signed Black Everlast Boxing Glove of “Iron Mike,” the Youngest Heavyweight Champion in Boxing History, the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World, and One of the Most Dominant and Recognizable Fighters the Sport Has Ever Produced, Authenticated With Athlete Hologram COA

🥊 Mike Tyson was twenty years old on November 22, 1986, when he stopped Trevor Berbick in two rounds to become the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history – a record the sport has not come close to seeing broken in the decades since. He came from Brooklyn. He was trained by Cus D'Amato, the legendary trainer who had built his program around the Peek-a-Boo defensive style and the principles of aggressive inside fighting that D'Amato had spent a career developing. D'Amato died in November 1985, before Tyson reached the championship, but the system he had built in their years of training together was the system that produced the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. 🥊

🥊 Tyson unified the heavyweight titles in 1987, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the era of the three major governing bodies – WBC, WBA, and IBF – and producing the most feared heavyweight combination the sport had seen since the era of the great champions who had defined the position before him. The combination that made him so difficult to prepare for: the body work that came behind the Peek-a-Boo guard, the right uppercut that came off the body shot, the hand speed that most heavyweights of the era could not track, the aggression that pushed every opponent from the opening bell into a defensive posture that Tyson had been trained to punish. The knockout record – 44 of his 50 professional wins came inside the distance – tells most of the story. 🥊

🥊 Everlast and Mike Tyson are two of the most recognized names in boxing, and the combination of Tyson's signature on a black Everlast glove produces one of the sport's most immediately recognizable memorabilia pieces. The brand and the fighter are separately iconic; together on this glove, they represent the sport at the level that only the most celebrated names in its history occupy. Athlete hologram COA confirms the signature is genuine. Condition: NOS. 🥊
