Description

🥊 Autographed/Signed Mike Tyson Imperfect Red Everlast Boxing Glove Athlete Hologram COA – A Personally Signed Mike Tyson Full-Size Red Everlast Boxing Glove from the Imperfect Series, Authenticated by Athlete Hologram COA, from the Youngest Undisputed Heavyweight Champion in Boxing History Who Held the WBC, WBA, and IBF Titles Simultaneously Before His 21st Birthday

🥊 Mike Tyson arrived in professional boxing in 1985 as a teenager who had been shaped by one of the sport's most respected trainers. Cus D'Amato had guided Floyd Patterson to the heavyweight championship in 1956 and had worked with light heavyweight world champion José Torres – and in Tyson he recognized the physical capacities and the ferocity that the heavyweight division historically rewards. D'Amato built Tyson's technical foundation on the peek-a-boo defense: hands held high beside the temples, constant head movement off the center line, slipping and rolling away from incoming punches rather than absorbing them while standing square, and creating tight angles for short counters delivered with the full rotation of the body behind them. The result was a fighter whose power was real and extensively documented, but whose effectiveness was magnified by his ability to evade punishment while positioning himself for maximum force on the return. On November 22, 1986, in his 28th professional fight, Tyson stopped Trevor Berbick in the second round to claim the WBC heavyweight title at 20 years and four months of age – the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history, a record that remains intact. By 1987 he held the WBC, WBA, and IBF belts simultaneously as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world before his 21st birthday. From that position through 1990, he was the most discussed, most covered, and most watched athlete in American sports – a figure whose fights drew the attention of audiences who watched no other boxing and whose name carried a cultural weight that extended far beyond the sport. Condition: NOS.

🥊 This signed item is a full-size red Everlast boxing glove from the Imperfect series, bearing Tyson's signature and authenticated by the Athlete Hologram COA program. Everlast is the equipment brand most synonymous with professional boxing – founded in 1910 and present in the corners and training facilities of every major heavyweight champion across more than a century of the sport's professional history. A red Everlast glove bearing Mike Tyson's signature connects two of boxing's most enduring identities in a single collectible piece. The Athlete Hologram COA provides authentication for the signature through hologram identification attached directly to the item. Condition: NOS.
