Dinosaucers was one of the more creative concepts to emerge from the 1980s animation boom — alien dinosaur-people from the planet Reptilon who could “dinovolve” into full dinosaur forms, landing on Earth and splitting into the heroic Dinosaucers and the villainous Tyrannos. The original animated series (DiC Entertainment, syndicated 1987) aired 65 episodes and left a devoted fanbase who remembered it fondly long after it ended. The series never got the toy line, the sequel season, or the feature film it deserved — making the source material somewhat rare and the fandom remarkably dedicated for an 80s property. Lion Forge’s 2018 comics revival was one of those returns that felt earned, produced for readers who’d been waiting for exactly this.
