🏒 Framed Autographed Bob Bobby Clarke 35x39 Philadelphia Flyers Orange Hockey Jersey JSA COA — Flin Flon Manitoba Canada, Philadelphia Flyers C, Broad Street Bullies, 3x Hart Trophy NHL MVP, 2x Stanley Cup Champion 1974 1975, Hockey Hall of Fame 1987, Type 1 Diabetic Champion — Framed 35x39 Wall Ready Hang It Today

The Philadelphia Flyers orange. The home jersey of the Broad Street Bullies — the most feared, most physical, most unapologetically intimidating hockey team in the history of the NHL, the team that won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1974 and 1975 and made the Philadelphia Spectrum the most hostile building in professional hockey. Signed by Bobby Clarke — the captain, the three-time Hart Trophy winner, the Type 1 diabetic who refused to let anything stop him from becoming one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. Authenticated by JSA. Framed at 35x39. Wall-ready to hang today.

🌟 Bobby Clarke — Flin Flon, Manitoba; The Mining Town; The Captain

Bobby Clarke was born August 13, 1949, in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada — one of the most remote hockey birthplaces in the world, a mining city straddling the Manitoba-Saskatchewan border in the subarctic Canadian Shield, where the winters are long and severe and the outdoor ice is available for months and where hockey is not a pastime but a way of life. Flin Flon has produced an extraordinary number of NHL players given its small size (about 5,000 people) — the hockey culture there is as concentrated and as serious as anywhere in the country. Clarke came out of Flin Flon with skating ability, hockey sense, and a competitive intensity that made NHL scouts overlook his Type 1 diabetes diagnosis when they might have written other players off. The Philadelphia Flyers took a chance. The return was incalculable.

💪 Type 1 Diabetic — The Champion Anyway

Bobby Clarke was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child, in an era with significantly less advanced medical management of the condition than exists today. NHL teams in the late 1960s were skeptical of drafting a diabetic player. The Flyers took the chance in the second round of the 1969 draft. Clarke managed his condition throughout his career, playing 15 seasons at the highest level of professional hockey, winning three Hart Trophies as the NHL's Most Valuable Player, and capturing two Stanley Cup championships. His career is one of the most remarkable stories of athletic achievement against physical adversity in the history of professional sports.

🏆 2x Stanley Cup Champion — The Broad Street Bullies

The Philadelphia Flyers won the Stanley Cup in 1974 — over the Boston Bruins in six games — and again in 1975 — over the Buffalo Sabres in six games. The Broad Street Bullies era: Fred Shero behind the bench, Clarke as captain, Bill Barber and Reggie Leach up front, Bernie Parent in net. They were physical beyond precedent, and Clarke was the heart of all of it — the player who could score, who could hit, who could fight if necessary, who never stopped competing. Three Hart Trophies. Two cups. The Flyers orange. Framed at 35x39. Authenticated by JSA.

Hockey Hall of Fame — Inducted 1987

Bobby Clarke was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987. The case was airtight. The orange Flyers jersey he signed is the jersey of the Broad Street Bullies, the Stanley Cup years, the Hart Trophies, and the career that proved a Type 1 diabetic from Flin Flon, Manitoba could become one of the greatest hockey players of his era.
