Framed 35x39 Dennis Martinez "El Presidente" Signed Montreal Expos White Baseball Jersey JSA COA — Born Granada Nicaragua, Montreal Expos (1986-1993), Perfect Game July 28 1991 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, 245 Career Wins, A National Hero of Nicaragua and the Most Accomplished Nicaraguan Player in the History of Major League Baseball

The Montreal Expos white baseball jersey — framed to 35x39 — signed by Dennis Martinez — "El Presidente" — the Granada, Nicaragua native who pitched his most celebrated and accomplished years in an Expos uniform and who on July 28, 1991, retired all 27 Los Angeles Dodgers he faced at Dodger Stadium to throw the 13th perfect game in the history of Major League Baseball — authenticated by James Spence Authentication. The Montreal Expos white jersey carries the visual identity of one of baseball's most beloved lost franchises: the tricolor Expos design that a generation of Canadian baseball fans grew up watching through the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s before the team relocated to Washington. Dennis Martinez wore that uniform for eight seasons and produced the finest work of his major league career within it, culminating in the perfect game that made him simultaneously the greatest achievement in Expos pitching history and one of the most iconic moments in the long Latin American presence in professional baseball. Framed. Signed. JSA verified. The El Presidente piece for the Expos collector, the baseball historian, and the fan of the 1991 perfect game that still lives in the memory of everyone who saw it happen. Condition: NOS.

🌟 Granada, Nicaragua — A National Hero — The Pioneer — The Baltimore Origin Story

Dennis José Martínez Emilia was born May 14, 1955, in Granada, Nicaragua — the colonial city on the western shore of Lake Nicaragua, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the Americas, founded by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Hernández de Córdoba in 1524. Granada's Spanish colonial architecture, its churches and plazas, its lakeside location in the Nicaraguan heartland, produced the pitcher who would become the most accomplished Nicaraguan athlete in the history of professional baseball. Martinez was signed by the Baltimore Orioles as a 19-year-old, developed through their system, and arrived in the major leagues in 1976 — becoming the first Nicaraguan to reach the major leagues. He spent eleven seasons with the Orioles — including the 1983 World Series championship team — before his trade to Montreal in 1986, where he would write the most celebrated chapter of his career. El Presidente. Nicaragua's gift to baseball. Condition: NOS.

🏆 July 28, 1991 — Dodger Stadium — The 13th Perfect Game — El Perfecto

July 28, 1991. Dennis Martinez takes the mound at Dodger Stadium for the Montreal Expos against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a Sunday afternoon game. Twenty-seven Dodgers came to the plate in the game. Twenty-seven returned to the dugout without reaching base. The final out — a fielder's choice grounder by pinch hitter Chris Gwynn — was recorded in the second inning and what followed was 25 more outs, the most meticulously clean pitching performance a major league pitcher can produce. The final out — the 27th Dodger put out — was the 13th perfect game in the history of Major League Baseball, the first perfect game by a Latin American-born pitcher, and to that point the most celebrated individual pitching performance in the history of the Montreal Expos franchise. In Nicaragua, it was received as a national celebration — El Presidente's perfect game was front-page news in Granada and Managua and the coastal cities where baseball was not just a sport but the defining passion of the culture. The Expos white jersey, signed by Martinez, framed at 35x39, authenticated by JSA, connects directly to those eight Montreal years and the July Sunday when he was perfect. Condition: NOS.
