Description

🏈 Autographed/Signed Ed Reed Baltimore Ravens Purple Football Jersey — JSA COA — Framed — 9x Pro Bowl — 2004 NFL Defensive Player of the Year — Super Bowl XLVII Champion — St. Rose, Louisiana — Hall of Fame 2019

🏈 There has never been a ball-hawk safety in the National Football League quite like Ed Reed. His interception totals, his return yards on interceptions, his ability to diagnose quarterback intentions before the snap, his range to reach balls thrown to any part of the field — the complete package of what Reed brought to the Baltimore Ravens secondary for twelve seasons redefined the physical and intellectual expectations for the strong safety position in professional football. This is the Baltimore Ravens purple football jersey signed by Ed Reed and authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA), framed and ready for display — a certified piece from the player whom many football analysts consider the greatest safety in the history of the sport. Condition: NOS.

🌊 St. Rose, Louisiana — Born into Football Country

🌊 Ed Reed was born on September 11, 1978, in St. Rose — a small community in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, on the west bank of the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, in the heart of one of the most football-saturated states in the country. Louisiana has produced more NFL players per capita than almost any comparable geography in America, and Reed attended nearby Destrehan High School before developing through the New Orleans metropolitan area's football culture and playing at the University of Miami — the program that in the 1990s and early 2000s was one of the most productive sources of defensive backs, linebackers, and defensive linemen in the history of the sport. Condition: NOS.

🏆 Baltimore Ravens — The Greatest Safety Era in Franchise History

🏆 Ed Reed played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2002 through 2012 — eleven seasons in which his presence in the secondary made the Ravens defense one of the most feared units in the AFC and in which his interception production set the NFL's all-time record for interception return yards at 1,590. He made the Pro Bowl nine times, was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2004, and anchored a Baltimore secondary whose combination of Reed at safety and Ray Lewis at linebacker created the defensive partnership that defined the Ravens' identity as one of the great defensive franchises of the 2000s and 2010s. Condition: NOS.

🎖️ Super Bowl XLVII — Champion

🎖️ In February 2013, Ed Reed won Super Bowl XLVII with the Baltimore Ravens — defeating the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in New Orleans in a game that was Reed's final chapter as a Raven before departing as a free agent. The Super Bowl championship completed the competitive resume of a career that had accumulated every individual defensive honor the sport offers and that deserved the team validation that a championship provides. The Pro Football Hall of Fame recognized Reed's career with enshrinement in 2019 — the permanent institutional recognition that places him in the company of the greatest players in professional football history. Condition: NOS.
