🏀 Framed 35x39 Autographed Jerry West Los Angeles Lakers Signed Purple Basketball Jersey — JSA COA — Chelyan, West Virginia — West Virginia University — Los Angeles Lakers — 'Mr. Clutch' — 'The Logo' — Fourteen NBA All-Star Selections — Pro Basketball Hall of Fame 1980 — The Man Whose Silhouette Became the Symbol of Professional Basketball — Signed Purple Lakers Jersey in Framed 35x39 Presentation — James Spence Authentication Certificate of Authenticity

🏀 Jerry West signed this Los Angeles Lakers purple basketball jersey himself — a direct, in-person autograph from the man whose silhouette became the NBA logo, authenticated and certified by James Spence Authentication (JSA), and presented in a frame measuring 35 by 39 inches that gives the signed purple jersey the gallery-quality presentation it deserves. A piece of signed sports memorabilia becomes something more than an object when the person who signed it is 'The Logo.' This is that piece. Condition: NOS.

🌟 Chelyan, West Virginia — The Mountains Produce a Point Guard for the Ages

🌟 Jerry West was born on May 28, 1938, in Chelyan, West Virginia — a small unincorporated community in the Kanawha County valley southeast of Charleston, in the rugged mountain country of the Mountain State where the isolation, the physical demands of the landscape, and the competitive basketball culture of the West Virginia high school game produced in Jerry West a player whose skill, work ethic, and competitive drive were shaped by a specific geography and a specific time. He took those qualities to West Virginia University, where the Mountaineers program gave him the stage to become one of the most celebrated college players of his era and the consensus evaluation of the best overall player available in the 1960 NBA Draft. Condition: NOS.

🏆 Los Angeles Lakers — Fourteen Seasons of Excellence

🏆 Jerry West played fourteen seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers — from his 1960 rookie season through his final year in 1974 — and in those fourteen seasons he was selected for the NBA All-Star Game fourteen times, missing the All-Star selection exactly never. His combination of scoring, playmaking, defensive intensity, and clutch performance in high-pressure moments gave the Lakers a guard whose individual brilliance could carry games that the team needed carried and whose presence in the lineup demanded defensive attention that created opportunities for his teammates. He scored 25,192 points in his NBA career. He won an NBA championship in 1972. Condition: NOS.

'Mr. Clutch' and the 1969 Finals MVP — The Legacy of the Biggest Moments

⭐ The nickname 'Mr. Clutch' attached to Jerry West because of his documented habit of performing at his peak in the moments when the stakes were highest — the fourth quarter of a tied playoff game, the final possession of a championship series, the moment when everyone in the building knew the ball was going to West and the question was only whether his shot would fall. His 1969 NBA Finals performance was so extraordinary that the writers who voted on the Finals MVP Award gave it to Jerry West despite the Lakers losing to the Boston Celtics — the only time in the history of the award that the Finals MVP has been given to a player on the losing team. Condition: NOS.

🏅 'The Logo' — The Silhouette That Represents Professional Basketball to the World

🏅 The NBA's logo — the silhouette of a player dribbling a basketball that appears on every official NBA product worldwide — is based on a photograph of Jerry West. He did not receive formal recognition of this fact for decades, but the basketball world has understood for most of that time that the man whose outline defines what the game looks like was a West Virginia boy who became a Los Angeles Laker and who played the game at a level that the logo appropriately represents. Signed, framed 35x39, with JSA COA. Condition: NOS.
