Framed John Smoltz Atlanta Braves Autographed Signed 35×39 Red Baseball Jersey Beckett BAS COA – The Hand-Signed and Professionally Framed Red Alternate Jersey of Baseball Hall of Famer John Smoltz in His Atlanta Braves Identity, Authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services, the Only Player in Baseball History to Win Both the Cy Young Award and Record 150 or More Career Saves, the Third Wheel of the Greatest Pitching Rotation in the Modern History of Professional Baseball

⚾ Red. The alternate color of the Atlanta Braves uniform, worn at Turner Field and Truist Park when the franchise puts its alternate identity on the field, the color that sits alongside the navy and the tomahawk in the Braves' visual vocabulary. This signed and framed 35×39 Braves red jersey, hand-autographed by John Smoltz and authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services with a COA confirming the signature's legitimacy, is that alternate jersey carrying the name and autograph of one of the three pitchers who defined the most celebrated pitching rotation in the history of the modern game. ⚾

⚾ The name has been spoken in the same sentence with the same two other names so many times that it has become a unit: Maddux. Glavine. Smoltz. The Atlanta Braves pitching rotation of the 1990s was the subject of conversations about the best three-pitcher nucleus in baseball history – three Hall of Fame pitchers on the same team at the same time, all operating at the peak of their respective abilities simultaneously. Greg Maddux won four consecutive Cy Young Awards. Tom Glavine won two. And John Smoltz won one – but what separated Smoltz from the conversation about rotation superiority was a career chapter that the other two never attempted. ⭐

⚾ John Smoltz was born May 15, 1967, in Warren, Michigan, and came to the Atlanta Braves in one of the most lopsided trades in baseball history: Smoltz from the Detroit Tigers for Doyle Alexander in 1987. Alexander won the American League Cy Young Award that season for the Tigers. Smoltz went on to a 21-year career in Atlanta, one World Series title, one Cy Young Award, and the kind of postseason reputation that made him the pitcher opposing managers feared most when October arrived. In 109 career postseason innings, Smoltz was extraordinary – a pitcher who elevated his performance when the stakes were highest in the way that only the very best pitchers in history have managed to do. 🏆

⚾ The unique chapter in Smoltz's career was the transition from starter to closer. After Tommy John surgery, Smoltz reinvented himself as a closer and saved 154 games between 2001 and 2004 – including a 55-save season in 2002 that was one of the greatest single-season performances by a closer in the history of the position. He then converted back to starting pitcher, which made him the only player in baseball history to win 200 games and record 150 or more career saves – a dual achievement that required excellence at two completely different jobs within the same sport. 🏆

⚾ The Baseball Hall of Fame inducted Smoltz into the Class of 2015, alongside Randy Johnson, Pedro Martínez, and Craig Biggio – one of the most talent-rich Hall induction classes in recent history. The 35×39 custom frame presents his signed red Braves jersey as a wall display piece appropriate for the career it represents: a professional presentation of a Hall of Fame autograph, authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services, ready to hang in any dedicated sports space or Atlanta Braves collection. ⚾

⚾ John Smoltz. Starting Pitcher and Closer. Atlanta Braves. Warren, Michigan. 1996 Cy Young Award Winner. 1995 World Series Champion. 55 Saves (2002). Only Player with 200 Wins and 150 Saves. Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2015. Autographed Signed 35×39 Framed Red Alternate Jersey. Beckett BAS COA. Autographed Sports Memorabilia. Hall of Fame Sports. Condition: NOS.
