The Atlanta Braves red. The alternate jersey of the franchise where Phil Niekro spent virtually his entire career — mastering one of the most difficult pitches in baseball, winning 318 games across two decades, and earning his place in the Baseball Hall of Fame with a knuckleball that defied physics and tormented every hitter in the National League. Signed by Knucksie. Authenticated by JSA. Framed at 35x39. Now, in memoriam, a piece of Atlanta Braves and baseball history that can never be replaced. Wall-ready to hang today.

🌟 Phil Niekro — Lansing, Ohio; Knucksie; The Knuckleball Master

Phil Niekro was born April 1, 1939, in Lansing, Ohio — Belmont County, the eastern Ohio River Valley where the coal and steel industry defined the communities and where the American game of baseball was as much a part of life as the shift changes and the river barges. Belmont County produced a pitcher who would spend the prime of his career in Atlanta, Georgia, making the knuckleball his entire identity and proving that one pitch, mastered to perfection, could sustain a major league career long enough to win 318 games. He passed away December 26, 2020, in Flowery Branch, Georgia, at age 81, after a private battle with cancer. His signed Braves red jersey carries the signature of one of the most unique and beloved pitchers in the history of the game.

🏆 The Knuckleball — His One Pitch; His Greatest Achievement

Phil Niekro did not have a fastball that intimidated hitters. He did not have a slider that swept off the table. What he had was the knuckleball — the pitch that moves without spin, that dances and dips and deceives with an unpredictability that drives catchers crazy and batters to distraction. Niekro learned the knuckleball from his father and never needed another pitch. For twenty-plus seasons in the major leagues, he threw knuckleballs, and hitters, even the best hitters in the game, could not solve him. The knuckleball kept him in the majors well into his forties and let him compile 318 career victories — a total that puts him among the winningest pitchers in the history of the game.

318 Career Wins — 5x All-Star — 4x Gold Glove — Hall of Famer 1997

Phil Niekro was a five-time All-Star. He won four Gold Glove Awards as a pitcher — a recognition of the athletic ability and fielding excellence that he brought to his position beyond the knuckleball itself. He finished his career with a 3.35 ERA and 3,342 strikeouts. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997 with 80.3% of the vote — a first-ballot-caliber career rewarded by the writers with a Cooperstown plaque. The Braves red alternate jersey, the alternate uniform of the franchise he defined for two decades, signed by Niekro, framed at 35x39, authenticated by JSA.
