Description

⚾ Rick Monday 35x39 Framed Signed Los Angeles Dodgers White Baseball Jersey — Beckett BAS COA — The Flag Rescue (April 25, 1976), 1981 NLCS Walk-Off HR, First MLB Draft Pick 1965, Museum Wall Art

Two moments define Rick Monday's place in baseball history, and both of them happened in a Dodgers uniform. The first — on April 25, 1976 at Dodger Stadium — was not planned, not practiced, and not part of any game plan. Two protesters ran onto the field with an American flag and lighter fluid, and Rick Monday — then with the Chicago Cubs, playing against Los Angeles that afternoon — sprinted across the outfield and snatched the flag before it could be burned. The crowd stood. Both dugouts emptied to watch. The PA system played "God Bless America." It was the most human moment in the history of that stadium on a day that had nothing to do with a box score. The second moment came on October 19, 1981, when Monday — now a Dodger — hit a two-run walk-off home run in the 9th inning of Game 5 of the NLCS against the Montreal Expos, sending Los Angeles to the World Series, which the Dodgers won over the Yankees in six games.

⚾ This signed Los Angeles Dodgers white baseball jersey comes in a custom 35x39 frame, Beckett BAS COA authenticated, ready to hang as museum wall art for any Dodgers collection, baseball history collection, or display that honors the kind of moments that transcend sport. The white Dodger jersey, the flag rescue, the NLCS walk-off, framed in 35x39 and authenticated. Museum wall art. Batavia, Illinois. Arizona State Sun Devils. The first overall pick in the first-ever MLB Draft (1965). The man who saved the flag. The walk-off that sent the Dodgers to the World Series. All of it in the frame.
