The Toronto Blue Jays blue. The color of the franchise's back-to-back World Series championship years — the only team based outside the United States to win the World Series, and the team that won it twice in a row because they had Roberto Alomar at second base. Alomar is the most decorated defensive second baseman in the history of baseball — 12 Gold Glove Awards, 10 All-Star selections, a career .300 batting average, and a Hall of Fame induction in 2011. This Blue Jays blue jersey, signed by Alomar and authenticated by JSA, is framed at 35x39 inches and wall-ready. It is the jersey color of the 1992 and 1993 champions. Hang it today.

🌟 Ponce, Puerto Rico — The Alomar Baseball Family — A Dynasty of Talent

Roberto Alomar was born February 5, 1968, in Ponce, Puerto Rico — the southern port city that has been one of the Caribbean's most prolific producers of professional baseball talent. His father was Sandy Alomar Sr. — a major league infielder who played 15 seasons in the big leagues and who raised his children inside the culture and the practice rhythms of professional baseball. His brother Sandy Alomar Jr. became a major league catcher — a two-time All-Star and 1997 ALCS MVP. Roberto was the second baseman, the most gifted of the family's baseball talents, the player who turned the second base position into something that could be called art. He was signed by the San Diego Padres organization as a teenager and made the major leagues at age 19 in 1988. By the time the Toronto Blue Jays acquired him in the 1990-91 offseason, the baseball world had already recognized what was coming.

🏆 Toronto Blue Jays — 1992 World Series Champion — 1993 World Series Champion — The Back-to-Back

The Toronto Blue Jays won the 1992 World Series over the Atlanta Braves in six games — the franchise's first championship, the first World Series title won by a team outside the United States. Roberto Alomar was central to that victory — his defense at second base and his switch-hitting consistency in the lineup made him the kind of player who contributed to championship baseball at every level of the game, offensively and defensively, in every inning and in every at-bat. The 1993 World Series saw Toronto repeat against the Philadelphia Phillies in six games — Joe Carter's walk-off home run in Game 6 is one of the most replayed moments in baseball history, and Alomar was on the field for it. Back-to-back championships. The Blue Jays blue of those years is the color of the most sustained excellence in Canadian baseball history. This framed, JSA-authenticated signed jersey is the physical document of that excellence. Hang it today.

12 Gold Gloves — Hall of Fame 2011 — The Standard at Second Base

Twelve Gold Glove Awards. The number represents an era — from 1991 through 2001, across his time with San Diego, Toronto, Baltimore, and Cleveland, Roberto Alomar was recognized year after year as the best defensive second baseman in his league. The range, the arm, the footwork around the bag on double plays, the instinctive positioning that turned potential hits into outs — all of it produced consecutive seasons of the Gold Glove electorate returning the same answer. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, in 2011 with 90 percent of the vote — the validation of a career that redefined the defensive standard at a position that had never before produced a 12-time Gold Glove winner. This framed Blue Jays jersey, authenticated by JSA, is the collectible piece of a Hall of Fame career. Hang it today.
