The Philadelphia Phillies grey. The road jersey of the franchise that was rebuilt around one of the most dominant left-handed starting pitchers in the history of baseball. Signed by Steve Carlton — Lefty — the four-time NL Cy Young Award winner, the 1980 World Series champion, the Hall of Famer who won 329 games in a career that redefined what a left-handed starter could accomplish. Authenticated by JSA. Framed at 35x39. Wall-ready to hang today.

🌟 Steve Carlton — Miami, Florida; Lefty; The Slider

Steve Carlton was born December 22, 1944, in Miami, Florida — Dade County, South Florida, the subtropical city on Biscayne Bay, a place of heat and humidity and Latin energy and the kind of athletic talent that the Florida climate seems to produce year-round. He signed with the St. Louis Cardinals and developed into a power left-hander before the Phillies acquired him in a trade that Cardinals fans still debate — in 1972, his first season in Philadelphia, he went 27 wins and 10 losses on a Phillies team that won only 59 games total. He accounted for 45.7 percent of the team's victories that year — the highest percentage by a single pitcher in the modern era — and won the Cy Young Award by a margin that was not close. The slider. The conditioning regimen he developed with martial arts expert Gus Hoefling that made him one of the most durably dominant pitchers of his era. Lefty. The best left-hander of his time.

🏆 Four Cy Young Awards — The Only Four-Time Winner of His Era

Four National League Cy Young Awards: 1972, 1977, 1980, 1982. No pitcher in his generation won more. The 1972 season alone — 27-10 on a 59-win team — stands as one of the most dominant individual pitching seasons in the history of the sport. The 1977 and 1980 and 1982 seasons each reinforced the message: when Steve Carlton was healthy and right, the National League had no better starting pitcher. He became the only pitcher in history to win the Cy Young Award four times before Roger Clemens matched the mark.

🏆 1980 World Series Champion

The Philadelphia Phillies won the 1980 World Series over the Kansas City Royals, four games to two — the first World Series championship in the franchise's 97-year history up to that point. Steve Carlton was the ace of that staff. He won two games in the 1980 postseason. The Phillies grey jersey he signed is the jersey of that championship season and all the Cy Young seasons that surrounded it. Framed at 35x39. Authenticated by JSA. Wall-ready.

Baseball Hall of Fame — Inducted 1994

Steve Carlton was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994 on the first ballot, receiving 95.8 percent of the vote — one of the highest percentages in Hall of Fame history at that time. 329 career wins. 4,136 strikeouts (second on the all-time list when he retired). The grey Phillies jersey. Signed. Framed. Authenticated. Hang it today.
