🍓 Original NOS Caravan Strawberry Soda bottle cap from the 1970s, bottled by Piedmont Cheerwine Bottling Company in Salisbury, North Carolina.

🏭 Piedmont Cheerwine Bottling Company has produced Cheerwine since 1917 and continues to operate under the long‑standing slogan “Uniquely Southern Since 1917.” During the 1970s, the company bottled a range of regional and private‑label sodas alongside Cheerwine, including the Caravan line.

🎨 This cap features a striking illustrated scene of a Bedouin caravan traveling past the pyramids of Egypt, a design style characteristic of mid‑century and late‑20th‑century soda branding that favored bold, exotic imagery to distinguish flavors on crowded shelves.
