🍺 Original NOS vintage Mason’s Root Beer bottle cap recovered from the former Monarch Bottling plant in Doraville, Georgia, dating to the 1970s.

🏭 Mason’s Root Beer was first manufactured in 1947 by Mason & Mason, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, establishing the brand during the post‑war expansion of American soft drinks.

📍 In 1978, Mason’s Root Beer was acquired by Monarch Beverage Company, headquartered in the Atlanta area. Monarch operated multiple regional bottling facilities, including Doraville, and briefly carried Mason’s alongside other legacy brands.

🧢 Mason’s was later shelved in favor of higher‑volume root beer brands, most notably Dad’s Root Beer, which Monarch acquired in 1986. As a result, Mason’s bottling under Monarch was limited in duration, contributing to the relative scarcity of surviving caps from this period.
