One side is red and one blue in original factory packaging. Really nicely made item with a High Gloss M&M Logo.

M&M's started in the United States in 1941 and has been sold all over the world. The concept for this unique candy was inspired by a method used by soldiers in the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939) to enjoy chocolate in warm climates without it melting. The company's longest-lasting slogan reflects this: "Melts in your mouth, not in your hand." and is still nostalgic to this day.

As of 2022 Mars was ranked as the fourth-largest privately held company in the United States by Forbes. Unique these days the company is entirely owned by the Mars family. Franklin Clarence Mars started the Mars Candy Factory in 1911 with Ethel V. Mars, his second wife, in Tacoma, Washington before moving the company to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
