🍇 Four Printed Lines, and No Packing House at All

This is an unusually bare sheet, and it is worth knowing before you buy it. The entire printed text is four lines:

• Towne Tokays — one line in a dark brown-black serif italic face on the chrome-yellow upper panel

• SUNNY CALIFORNIA

No grower, packer, shipper or association is named anywhere on this label, and neither is a town, county or shipping point — Sunny California is the whole of the geography. There is no net weight, no size, no grade, no count, no copyright line, no REG. U. S. PAT. OFF., no country-of-origin line, no exchange affiliation and no lithographer's imprint; all four corners were checked at 6x. The word BRAND is not printed either.

What you get instead is the picture: a large naturalistic bunch of red Tokay grapes with green and russet vine leaves and a curling tendril, filling the left half and crossing the division between a chrome-yellow upper panel and a dark navy lower panel, the whole enclosed in a bright red border with a thin dark keyline inside it. The reverse is plain unprinted tan-cream stock with the brand line ghosting through in mirror.
