Vintage Autographed/Signed Charlie Manuel Framed 35x39 Philadelphia Grey Baseball Jersey PSA/DNA COA – Hand-Signed by the Philadelphia Phillies Manager Who Led the Franchise to Its First World Series Championship in 28 Years, Who Built One of the Most Celebrated Pitching Staffs in the History of the National League, and Who Became One of the Most Beloved Figures in Philadelphia Sports History During Five Consecutive Division Title Seasons That Defined the Phillies Organization's Identity in the Late 2000s and Early 2010s

⚾ Philadelphia baseball waited a long time between championships. From 1980, when Pete Rose and Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton and the Phillies beat the Kansas City Royals for the franchise's first World Series title, to 2008, when the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in five games for the championship that the city had been building toward across nearly three decades of near-misses and rebuilds and the kind of patience that Philadelphia sports demands of its fanbase – that's 28 years. The manager who put the pieces together, who led the team through the regular season and the postseason and the final out of the 2008 World Series, was Charlie Manuel: the West Virginia-born, Japan-tested baseball lifer who arrived in Philadelphia with a philosophy about hitting and a personality that connected with players and fans in a way that produced the sustained excellence that five consecutive division titles represent.

⚾ Charles Fuqua Manuel was born January 4, 1944, in Northfork, West Virginia, and came to professional baseball through a path that included playing in Nippon Professional Baseball in Japan – where he developed the reputation as a fearsome power hitter and where he built the knowledge of hitting mechanics and offensive approach that would become the foundation of his coaching and managing philosophy decades later. His playing career in the major leagues was limited, but his knowledge of the game deepened through the years he spent in Japan and through the coaching career that followed, and by the time he arrived in Philadelphia as manager in 2005, he was one of the most experienced offensive minds in professional baseball.

🏆 He managed the Phillies to five consecutive NL East Division titles from 2007 through 2011 – the most consistent sustained success in the franchise's modern history and one of the most impressive runs of division dominance in the National League during that period. The 2008 Phillies that he managed to the World Series championship featured Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Pat Burrell, and a pitching staff led by Cole Hamels, who won the 2008 World Series MVP Award. The 2009 Phillies returned to the World Series with the same core, adding Cliff Lee's dominant performance in Game 1 against the Yankees before eventually losing the series in six games – back-to-back World Series appearances that cemented the Phillies' claim to being the premier National League franchise of the late 2000s and early 2010s and Charlie Manuel's claim to being the manager who built and sustained that run.

✍️ This framed 35x39 Philadelphia grey jersey carries Manuel's personal signature, authenticated by PSA/DNA – Professional Sports Authenticator's autograph authentication division, one of the most widely recognized third-party authentication services in the sports memorabilia market. The grey jersey is the Phillies' away identity, the uniform the franchise carries into opponent ballparks throughout the season. Framed and ready for display, this piece connects directly to the manager who gave Philadelphia baseball its most sustained winning period in nearly three decades. Condition: NOS.
