Framed Autographed Mike Schmidt Philadelphia Phillies Retro Blue Baseball Jersey JSA COA — Born Dayton Ohio, 3x NL MVP 1980 1981 1986, 1980 World Series Champion and World Series MVP, 548 Career Home Runs, 12 Gold Gloves Greatest Defensive Third Baseman in Baseball History, Hall of Fame 1995 — Framed 35x39 Wall Ready Hang It Today

The Philadelphia Phillies retro blue. The powder blue that carried Mike Schmidt through the greatest years of his career — a look that takes any fan of the late 1970s and early 1980s game back to a time when baseball felt different, when the stadiums were asymmetrical and the uniforms were polyester and the third baseman of the Phillies was the best baseball player in the National League. Signed by Mike Schmidt — the greatest third baseman who ever played the game, the one the Hall of Fame called on a first ballot, the one who won three MVP awards and a World Series championship and still hit 548 home runs doing it. Authenticated by JSA. Framed at 35x39. Wall-ready to hang today.

🌟 Dayton, Ohio — University of Dayton — The Foundation of a Legend

Michael Jack Schmidt was born September 27, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio — the industrial heart of southwestern Ohio, a city of aircraft history and working-class resilience where sports are not a luxury but a shared language. He played at the University of Dayton, not one of the powerhouse baseball programs of his era, and yet when the Philadelphia Phillies selected him in the 1971 amateur draft, they had found one of the rarest talents the position had produced. He arrived in Philadelphia in 1972, struck out too much early, got booed at Veterans Stadium by Phillies fans who had never been easy on their own, and proceeded to build one of the greatest careers in the history of the National League.

🏆 3x NL MVP — 1980 World Series Champion and MVP — The Peak of the Position

Mike Schmidt won the NL MVP Award in 1980, 1981, and 1986 — three times, over a span of seven seasons, spanning multiple eras of Phillies baseball. In 1980, he hit .286 with 48 home runs and 121 RBI, and led the Phillies to the World Series — their first championship in franchise history. In the World Series against the Kansas City Royals, Schmidt hit .381 with two home runs and seven RBI in six games, winning the World Series MVP Award. The city of Philadelphia, which had waited for its first World Series title since 1929, erupted. Veterans Stadium shook. The powder blue retro jersey Schmidt wore on the road that season is the jersey style signed on this frame — the throwback to the color that defined the championship era of Phillies baseball.

12 Gold Gloves — 548 Home Runs — Hall of Fame 1995

The argument for Mike Schmidt as the greatest third baseman in baseball history rests on a complete player — not just the home runs (548 career, 13th all-time at the time of his retirement), not just the defense (12 Gold Gloves, a record for third basemen, defending a position that in his era required daily battles with sharp ground balls and hard-throwing opponents), but both together. He could dominate a game with his bat and prevent runs with his glove and his arm simultaneously. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995, first ballot, by one of the highest vote percentages in the history of the voting process. JSA authenticated. Framed at 35x39. Hang it today.
