🆕 New Old Stock (NOS) — unused and uncrimped with original cork liner intact.

🍸 Vintage Kar’s Tom Collins Mixer cork‑lined bottle cap produced by Kar’s Bottling Company of Detroit, Michigan, dating to the mid‑20th century (circa 1940s–1950s).

The Tom Collins cocktail rose to national fame in the late 19th century, fueled in part by the legendary Great Tom Collins Hoax of 1874 — one of the earliest examples of mass media pranks in American history. Newspapers across the country reported sightings of a mysterious man named “Tom Collins,” embedding the name permanently into popular culture.

By the post‑Prohibition era, Tom Collins mixers became a staple of American home entertaining. Bottled mixers like this one reflected the rise of casual cocktail culture, allowing classic drinks to be prepared easily at home without professional bartending.

This cap remains unused, retaining its original cork liner — a hallmark of pre‑plastic bottling and a clear indicator of mid‑century production.

Returns & Exchange

Take your time — you've got a full six months. If a piece isn't right for you, send it back the way it reached you and we're good.

In the first 30 days your money goes straight back the way you paid. After that it's store credit, so you can put it toward something you'd rather have.

Return shipping we sort out between us, case by case. I don't make this difficult.

If something arrives damaged, or it isn't what I said it was, send me a photo within 48 hours and I'll make it right.

Email info@vintageantiquesgifts.com or call 802-356-9872 — that's me answering, not a call center.

The only things I can't take back are custom or special-order pieces and gift cards.
