Some really cool history about this rare label it was Made by The Philadelphia Home for the Blind which did most of the orders for the Army and Navy. Heading into WWI they were absolutely flooded with demand for their brooms and mops from that client. History here https://repository.upenn.edu/dissertations/AAI9101177/
The beautiful vibrant colors on this vintage label used from 1900 to 1940s are amazing. Broom labels were a popular way of marketing their brooms to stand out from the others. Of course, that is until the vacuum cleaner was made affordable to the middle class after WW2 and most Broom companies went out of business.

Most of these artists were very good but desperate for work during that era and got paid very little and received no recognition for their work. Unfortunately, the majority of these artists will remain unknown, but we can keep their art alive forever.
