๐Ÿ€ Autographed Jerry West Los Angeles Lakers Yellow Basketball Jersey โ€“ JSA Certified โ€“ The Hand-Signed Yellow Home Jersey of Jerry West, Fourteen-Time NBA All-Star, 1972 NBA Champion, 1969 NBA Finals MVP, โ€œThe Logo,โ€ and One of the Most Celebrated Players and Executives in the History of Professional Basketball

๐Ÿ€ Jerry West was born on May 28, 1938, in Chelyan, West Virginia, a small coal-country town in the Kanawha Valley, and grew up in a state where basketball was one of the few avenues out and one of the most seriously practiced sports in the mountains. He became an All-American at West Virginia University and was selected by the Minneapolis Lakers โ€“ who relocated to Los Angeles before he played his first game โ€“ in the 1960 NBA Draft. He wore Laker gold for fourteen seasons, became one of the most respected two-way guards in the league's history, earned fourteen All-Star selections, and finally won the championship he deserved when the 1971โ€“72 Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA title with 69 wins in the regular season, still one of the most dominant single-season performances in league history. West passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 86.

๐Ÿ€ The yellow Lakers home jersey carries the visual language of the franchise West helped define. His signature on the jersey connects six decades of Lakers history โ€“ from the Elgin Baylor era through his own playing career and into the decades he spent as one of the most influential basketball executives in the game, assembling rosters across multiple franchises and leaving fingerprints on championships long after his playing days ended. In 1969, in the NBA Finals the Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics, West was awarded the Finals MVP โ€“ the only time in league history the honor was given to a member of the losing team, a testament to how dominant his performance was in a series his team did not win. The silhouette that has been the NBA's official logo for decades is widely believed to be based on a photograph of Jerry West in mid-dribble.

๐Ÿ€ James Spence Authentication (JSA) has certified this signature with a Certificate of Authenticity. JSA is among the most trusted authentication services in the sports memorabilia industry. Condition: NOS.
