This vintage 1950s Studebaker‑Packard Corporation stock certificate is a beautiful survivor from the last great chapter of an American car icon.🚗 In 1954, Packard bought Studebaker and the two famous names were combined as Studebaker‑Packard Corporation, trying to stand tall against Detroit’s Big Three. The Packard name would quietly disappear again in 1962 and Studebaker would stop building cars just a few years later, making these mid‑1950s Wall Street documents feel like a farewell love‑letter to the brand.

Printed in rich blue with bold “100” corners and an allegorical vignette at the top, this certificate has the perfect mix of classic bank‑note engraving and 1950s optimism.💙🏛️ It measures about 12" x 8", a great size for framing in an office, den, garage, or man‑cave. The paper has that sturdy, money‑like feel you only get from true intaglio printing of the era, with crisp detail in the borders and seal.

💛 Why you’ll love it
If you grew up around Studebakers, remember the Lark or Hawk, or just love stories of independent automakers fighting to survive, this certificate brings that world right onto your wall. It’s a tangible piece of the struggle that carried Studebaker from wagons to the very last car rolling out of Hamilton, Ontario, in 1966. Hang it where you’ll see it every day and you’ll smile knowing you own a tiny slice of automotive and Wall Street history.

These are issued instruments rather than blanks. Certificates of this type were filled in for a holder in ink, countersigned by the transfer agent and registered by the registrar, then punch- or cut-cancelled when they were redeemed and retired. Expect financial writings, markings, stamps, hole punches and staple holes as part of the life of the instrument: endorsements and signatures, transfer-agent and registrar stamps, revenue or documentary tax stamps, cancellation punches, staple holes from being bound into a transfer book, pencil ledger notations. That is the paper trail of a security that actually did its job, and it is what separates a document that lived from a blank that never did. No two are alike: holder details, serial numbers, dates, signatures, stamps and punch patterns vary from example to example, so the photographs show the type rather than the exact sheet that ships.
