This Vintage New Old Stock (NOS) Canada Dry bottle cap 🥤 dates to the 1980s, a transitional era when glass bottles and metal crown caps were being phased out in favor of cans and plastic packaging.

The cap features Canada Dry’s classic crown‑and‑shield logo 👑, a design rooted in the brand’s early twentieth‑century identity and used to emphasize heritage and quality. Canada Dry was founded in 1904 and became one of the most recognizable ginger ale brands in North America, known for its less‑sweet “dry” flavor profile 🍋.

This example was recovered from a Dr Pepper bottling plant in West Jefferson, North Carolina 🏭, reflecting the common practice of multi‑brand regional bottling during the late twentieth century. Caps from this period were typically supplied by major closure manufacturers such as Crown Cork & Seal, ensuring standardized production across licensed bottlers.

Unused examples from the 1980s are becoming increasingly uncommon 📉, as fewer crown caps were produced during this late glass‑bottle era and most surviving examples show signs of use.

A genuine piece of American soda history 🇺🇸, ideal for collectors of vintage advertising, bottle caps, and beverage memorabilia.
