🗡️ Unlock a little bit of 1980s magic with this vintage 1987 Walt Disney and McDonald’s “The Sword in the Stone” Activity Book, preserved in gorgeous new old stock (NOS) condition. At about 10" x 8", it feels like the classic big storybooks you remember from school book fairs—only this one came from a Happy Meal, which made it feel like treasure when you pulled it out of the bag.

📚 Inside are 16 pages of mazes, puzzles, word games, and coloring activities themed to the animated feature, from castle dungeons and wizard’s cottages to scenes of young Wart trying to prove he’s more than just a scrawny squire. The pages in your copy are clean and unused, so you can keep it pristine for display, gently flip through it for a nostalgia hit, or even frame a few favorite interior spreads as wall art.

🏰 This book comes from one of the very first Disney‑themed Happy Meal promotions in the late 1980s, when McDonald’s launched a line featuring classics like Cinderella, Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, and The Sword in the Stone. For a lot of kids, these activity books were their first contact with slightly older Disney films that were just returning to the spotlight on VHS. Pairing them with a Happy Meal turned an ordinary drive‑thru stop into Disney night at home.

🎬 The animated feature The Sword in the Stone was released by Disney in 1963, adapting T.H. White’s novel about the boy who would become King Arthur and his eccentric tutor, Merlin. By the time this activity book arrived in 1987, the film had found a second life on home video, with many families discovering it for the first time via the “Walt Disney’s Classic” VHS tapes, making tie‑ins like this feel extra special.

🌟 The front cover art is peak VHS‑era Disney: a bold blue border, warm painted background, and Wart straining to lift the glowing sword from the anvil while magic flares all around him, framed with the familiar McDonald’s arches in the corner. Because this copy is NOS, colors remain bright and the spine and edges, while showing only light storage wear, are far better than most well‑loved examples that went through tiny hands at the restaurant.

🖼️ Displayed front‑cover‑out with vintage Disney VHS tapes, Happy Meal toys, or other McDonald’s premiums, this activity book becomes a perfect conversation starter. It works beautifully in a kids’ reading nook, a game room, or a home office shelf where you keep your favorite nostalgia pieces, and it’s a thoughtful gift for anyone who still quotes Merlin or hums the songs from the film.

You will receive one original vintage 1987 Walt Disney and McDonald’s “The Sword in the Stone” Activity Book, approx. 10" x 8", NOS with light storage wear, unused interior pages, not a modern reprint.
