Remember 4-H Clover Decals? 🍀 4-H Clover Self-Stick Decal, Embla Crest, Sealed on Its Card

Size: 3 1/4" ~ Factory sealed, little to no wear. ~ It is unknown if the adhesive still works, as that is usually the first thing to fail.

Embla Crest, a rare vintage 1960s 4-H Decal, is a highly collectible Item. Factory sealed. These are likely the last of their kind in the world, serving as a poignant reminder of a time when we celebrated our community and their contributions. It's the 4-H clover: a green four-leaf clover with a gold H on each leaf, on a black disc with a gold rim.

It is unknown if the adhesive still works, as that is usually the first thing to fail. It may require assistance, also known as glue, to affix.

🏷️ What's Printed on It

  • the 4-H clover, an H on each leaf
  • Card: EMBLA CREST, EASY TO APPLY-SELF-STICK, 49¢

These came on hang cards of different colors, pale blue and dark blue among them. The back of the card is plain.

🍀 Head, Heart, Hands and Health

4-H goes back to 1902, when A. B. Graham started one of its first youth programs in Clark County, Ohio. O. H. Benson, superintendent of the Wright County schools in Iowa, first designed the clover emblem in 1907, and in 1910 Jessie Field Shambaugh developed the clover pin with an H on each leaf; by 1912 they were being called 4-H clubs. The term 4-H Club first showed up in a federal document in 1920, by 1924 the clubs were organized as 4-H clubs and the clover was adopted, and the 4-H Pledge, written by Otis Hall of Kansas, went nationwide in 1927. The four H's stand for Head, Heart, Hands and Health, and 4-H is still run through the USDA's Cooperative Extension System.

🏷️ Embla Crest

The Embla Crest brand was recognized for producing high-end vintage decals as part of the Atlantic Emblem Company, particularly during the 1960s and 1970s, which was located in Walterboro, South Carolina. One of the Embla Crest cards prints the company's Walterboro name right under the Embla Crest banner.

🏡 Display

It's a sweet gift for a 4-H kid, a county fair lover or anybody who grew up showing calves and rabbits, and it looks great framed on its card.
