Remember the Looney Tunes Group Pin? 📌 LOONEY TUNES Group Shot Pin, TM & © 1995 Warner Bros.

Size: 2 1/2" ~ Unopened in its original package.

A vintage 1995 Looney Tunes group-shot pin, never opened and still in its package! It takes me straight back to the Looney Tunes cartoons and the amazing Saturday mornings we all waited on, week after week.

Four of the all-time greats are crammed onto one big button: Sylvester with his mouth wide open, Tweety looking as innocent as ever, Daffy Duck with that famous bill, and Bugs Bunny grinning from ear to long ear, all under LOONEY TUNES. The backs aren't all one color: I've come across blue, yellow, white, green and pink ones, and there may be more.

🏷️ What's Printed on It

  • LOONEY TUNES
  • TM & © 1995 WARNER BROS
  • Made In China.

The back is colored plastic with MADE IN CHINA molded in and a wire pin, and each one is still sealed in its clear bag.

🎬 Where Looney Tunes Began

The very first Looney Tunes cartoon was Sinkin' in the Bathtub in 1930, starring Bosko, made for Leon Schlesinger by animators Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising. The name itself was a play on Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies, and Merrie Melodies ran right alongside it as the sister series. The animators nicknamed their workspace Termite Terrace, and from 1944 to 1964 the cartoons hit their golden age, winning five Academy Awards. The original theatrical run ended in 1969. Just a year after this pin came out, Space Jam in 1996 put the whole gang back on the big screen and grossed nearly $100 million in the U.S. alone, and today Looney Tunes is one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.

⭐ The Four on the Pin

Bugs Bunny officially arrived in Tex Avery's A Wild Hare on July 27, 1940, and "What's up, Doc?" was born right there. Daffy Duck came first, in Porky's Duck Hunt on April 17, 1937, one of the very first screwball characters. Tweety debuted in Bob Clampett's A Tale of Two Kitties in 1942, and Sylvester in Friz Freleng's Life with Feathers on March 24, 1945, spluttering "Sufferin' succotash!" in that slobbery lisp. Put those last two together in Tweetie Pie in 1947 and you get Warner Bros.' first Academy Award. Sylvester went on to star in three Oscar winners, Tweetie Pie, Speedy Gonzales and Birds Anonymous, more than any other Looney Tunes character.

And one man voiced all four. Mel Blanc did Bugs, Daffy, Tweety and Sylvester, and he said Sylvester's voice was really Daffy's, just not sped up, plus that even more exaggerated lisp.

🖼️ Display

Pin it on a jean jacket, a backpack or a lanyard, or keep it sealed in a shadow box with the rest of your Looney Tunes collection. And in the words of Porky Pig, "Th-th-th-that's all, folks!"

The pin came as described and in excellent condition. The seller took the time to include both a thank you letter and card. This tells me the seller values the customer and that says a lot in this day and age. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again.
